BH

Dearest friends and comrades.

Shalom again from Yerushalayim.

A few words before the Purim celebration begins:

  1. Please follow this link to 4 audio classes intended to help the spiritual and morale preparations for Purim : http://therebbesaid.com/meir-elkabas.
  2. Regarding drinking wine on Purim, "Purim-experts" claim that dry white wine is less painful than red wine. But since there is a concept to subdue Haman-Amalek- Esav-Edom (who is "red"), it is suggested to add some red wine for coloring.
  3. Regarding sending gifts to the needy on Purim day to those living in Israel, due to the fact that it is a halakhic dispute whether one fulfills the obligation, it is best not to rely on this alone for fulfilling the mitzvah, and to also look for other local collections as well. Those wishing to anyhow send monetary gifts to the needy in Israel on Purim can make a money transfer to the following bank account: Bank Name: First International Bank of Israel
    Swift Code No.: PAGIILITXXX
    Branch Name: Pagi Meah Shearim
    Branch No.: 184
Branch Address: 44 Meah Shearim St., Jerusalem 95229, Israel
    Account Name: Meir Elkabas
    Account Number: 655-848
    Transfer's Reason: Gift
(US Correspondents include the major New York Banks. e.g. Republic, Citibank, Bankers and Chase)

As a token of appreciation, please send me your full Hebrew name and mother's Hebrew name so that I can daven for you - bli neder - for the next 40 days.

Take care, be well and may the light of Mordekhai and Esther shine upon all of us.

    Sincerely

    Meir Elkabas
