THE FALL BEFORE THE CLIMB

BH

There is a major fundamental teaching in life in general, and in the Torah in particular, that before every climb there must be a fall.

And commensurate to the greatness and benefit of the upcoming climb/ascent so too is the depth and darkness of the prerequisite fall.

Thus, in the case of the Purim miracle, being that the benefit, light and miracles that it brings until today are so powerful and lasting, it is no wonder that Haman/Amalek posed a be a severe and serious threat to the continuity of Jewish existence.

More than this, Reb Noson teaches that every miracle and breakthrough in life is somehow rooted in the Purim miracle. Because of the amazing and clear Divine Providence found and concealed in the sequence of events of the Purim story, the revelation of Hashem's greatness is thus far greater than that of the Exodus and the splitting of the Red Sea. For revealing Hashem from within the concealment is much more greater than His revelation through open miracles.

So......... cheer up. Hang-on. Don't drop everything. Take a deep breath, and wait patiently for Hashem's salvation in the upcoming climb/ascent/breakthrough that is coming your way.

"...to make known that all those who put hope in You will not be put to shame, and all those who take shelter in You will not forever be embarrassed" (from the Purim liturgy after the night-time Megillah reading).
